The main thing is to have fun and enjoy life while you're gaming — but to keep it fair for everyone, here's the playbook!
Rule 1
Put the phone away, close the smartwatch app, and for the love of trivia —
no secret AI helpers! We have a
zero-tolerance policy for cell phones or any device that
can fetch answers during question rounds. If you need to take a call or text,
step away from the table. Let's see what that brilliant brain of yours can
do all on its own!
Rule 2
To be ready for the win, pack your trivia bag with these essentials:
Something to write with — pen or pencil, your choice!
A "Thinking Cap" — metaphorical or literal. We LOVE a good hat!
Scrap Paper — each game includes a Word Scramble. You'll want paper to wrestle those letters!
Answer Sheets — Ron provides these. You're welcome!
Money for food and drinks. Priorities!
Rule 3
Please be respectful to the venue staff, your host
(Ron!), and your fellow competitors.
Get too rowdy and you may be asked to cool off and come back next week.
Trash talk is welcome — as long as it stays
lighthearted and friendly. Good vibes only!
Rule 4
Even if you're 100% certain you know the answer
— zip it! Yelling answers ruins the game for everyone. Whether you're right
(another team hears you) or wrong (everyone gives you the look
), it's always better to
keep your genius to yourself and your team.
Whisper-huddle. Write it down. Then celebrate quietly.
Rule 5
We play at some of the best spots in Central Florida.
These local businesses open their doors so we can play, laugh, and compete.
Show them some love by ordering food and drinks.
Their hospitality is what makes the whole thing possible —
so eat up, drink up, and tip well!
Rule 6
Check back in the Facebook group regularly
for updates — and especially on the day of the games
for a special clue to one of the night's questions! Do that and you might
be the only team with the correct answer. Yeah, it's that
big of an edge. Don't miss it!
